why we started filmmaker's meetup

We failed to find one, so we created one.
And we made it for free.

We wanted to find an event wherein filmmakers can meet fellow filmmakers to grow their network without attending a paid workshop or a seminar but... we as filmmaker's felt like

Most events feel overwhelming...

Aspiring Filmmakers often feel like outsiders, unsure where to even begin in the industry.

Most events feels too exclusive...

Most industry events are either expensive or invite-only, adding another barrier.

Most events are hard to reach...

Many meetups in the film industry happen in bars or nightlife settings - not everyone drinks, and it excludes people who don't feel safe or comfortable in those spaces.

We're creating a safe space where filmmakers of all levels can meet, connect, and belong.

Whether you're a student, film worker, content creator, seasoned filmmaker, or someone still finding their path. There's no gatekeeping. No egos. Just stories, learning, and community.
